The "Holler" family Wedding!

The "Holler" family Wedding!

Ok... This is me joining the Bloggng family!!! Bukky, I apologize for using your  wedding as a test run... I love you thou!!! Just so you know!! :)  Ok... Here we go!! I'm just going to tell the wedding as I recall it!!

The amazing Union of Ms. Olubukola Okulate & Mr. Olutoba Olakanye sure was an am azingly magnificent wedding I was fortunate enough to cover, well, not officially :)

Flew in to H-Town from the Big Apple, kicked it with my cousin who was generous enough to house, feed and provide transportation for me... Cousin - Ayomide Asana - You Rock Bro!!! Ok... back to the wedding...

The Traditional Wedding on March 28th was just awesome. Of course, we had our usual spectacles displayed by our older folks - talking drums, cultural dance, the like ... It was awesome!! The groom came in wearing his agabda (male attire) with his boys right behind him. Sure enough, the dollar bills were flowing, the single sisters in  attendance were paying attention,  I think I may have gotten a number or two myself (not really, I don't think my game is that tight!)

As for the bride, I don't think I ever saw her that beautiful. Segun Gele did an amazing job beautifying Bukky, I mean, she looked splendid!! I'm almost certain that over seventy percent of the men in attendance that day, both married and single, were envious of Toba - that sly guy!! Bukky danced in with her attire, face covered, but still filled with swift swag (if I may!) and she was elegantly with it; trust me!!

Ok... For Friday March 29th... A gathering of friends was done but I was too busy checking out H-Town. So I joined the fun later in the day, made a few friends, etc etc etc.... I don't intend to bore you with this... Moving On!! :)

Got to the hotel where the couple prepared for their big day, June 30th!! Watching both Bukky and Toba preparing to start what will be the beginning of the rest of their lives!! I must say, "tears of joy" came to mind!! However, all we had from both the grooms floor and the brides quarters was laughter.... I mean, laughter for days!!

The brides mades look spectacular in their gold gowns, holding on to the blue bouquets of flowers and wearing their beautiful smiles. I mean, spectacular!! And the Bride!? One word... Oh La La! ( Ok, two words! "La" was used twice :p ) . Now, for the groomsmen, I personally believe that a wedding party without a fun-loving set of guys will not be an amazing party. Gladly, these groomsmen were on point, rocking their black suite and blue or yellow tie, and of course, the striped socks!! And the groom... The Groom!!  "Swagnificence" is a word that comes to mind!!

The wedding ceremony was amazing and was a success.  The Redeemed Christian Church of God (R.C.C.G.) Restoration Chapel (located at 13406 Beechnut Street, Houston, Texas 77083) had an elegant set up. The church members/workers were friendly and courteous. The ceremony was not a drag; compared to some other weddings!! Certainly was a fun ceremony; dancing, handsome blokes, pretty ladies, laughing kids, etc etc etc!!!

The reception!! Oh the reception!!! Everyone came in their elegance!! The couple arrived in their white Rolls Royce, danced into the hall after their bridal party, and enjoyed the occasion even further. The Host - Seyi Brown - was hilarious as usual, Jokes upon Jokes connecting with both the younger and older attendees. The food was amazing, and the desert - red velvet cake - was just as amazing.

Everyone certainly had fun, dancing; oh! the dancing... Azontos, Kukere, and many more!! Sigh!!! Below is a link to a few shots taken at the wedding. Please enjoy and leave comments.. Be nice!!

Thank you for reading!! I'll try to improve on future posts!!
